Wallsend in the community
Wallsend is a very active branch: They have been raising money, through a weekly bonus ball for Cedar Grove Day Centre's social fund (where many of their service users attend), and will continue this throughout 2009 to fund a Christmas Party there next year. They have also collected items to make up Christmas Hampers which have been given to service users this Christmas - all names were entered into a raffle.
The team held an open day at the new offices in early December and at the same time launched their local Falls Awareness and safer slipper campaign. The branch was officially opened by one of their guests, Mrs Thain.
In November carers and office staff got together to wear it pink for Breast Cancer and raised £50.
