Careforce Success at National Awards
Veronica Dixon, a Supervisor at the Kirklees branch of Careforce was awarded Home Care Worker of the Year for the North West 2008. Gill Hardiman, a Carer from Stowmarket, was runner-up for the South East region and Debbie Dennis Manager of Rotherham branch was a runner-up in the Registered Manager's category.
Veronica won the award for her professionalism and her dedication to the 100 service users and team of 25 carers that she supports. The judge said that Veronica outshone all the other nominees in her category.
Veronica has worked with the elderly throughout her career, beginning as an auxiliary in geriatric nursing she has also been warden of a sheltered housing scheme and day care supervisor for Age Concern. Veronica joined Care Connect, now part of the Careforce Group, eight years ago.
