Following major contract wins Careforce has opened two new local care operations in Doncaster Yorkshire and Richmond Surrey. The Richmond branch service will begin in September.

Careforce Group plc has acquired Sperrin Caring Services based in Omagh County Tyrone

Donna Stacey a coordinator for the Sheffield branch won the Ceretas Coordinator of the Year award at ceremony in London on June 6th.

Former Allied Healthcare Chief Financial Officer, David Moffatt, has joined Careforce as Commercial Director and will be responsible for financial and operational performance.

Zuzana Reitman from the Northants Branch has overcome language and cultural hurdles to become our Carer of the Year 2008.

Philippa Codd who joined Careforce last year was appointed Group Operations Director in January. Philippa has a distinguished career in the sector and is committed to the establishment of an outcomes-based care model throughout the Group.

Associate membership has been given to our most experienced Carers in recognition of their professionalism and services to the welfare of vulnerable people in the community.

Careforce has widened its care services in the North East with the acquisition of Seraph which will give the company access to several new local authorities.

Careforce has secured three new contracts, two of which are in new operational locations for the company.

Careforce Rotherham has been awarded three blocks, the Local Authority's maximum contract allocation. Hertfordshire has won contracts that significantly increase its business volumes. The anticipated value of these two awards is up to £52m.

The acquisitions of Complete Care and of Pooks Care Ltd has been announced. Complete Care operates in Wirral and Cheshire and Pooks' seven branches provide services to thirteen local authorities in the Midlands and Home Counties.

On 18 September, Careforce acquired Care Connect Kirklees Ltd and on 1 October acquisition of The Sentinel Group of companies was announced.

The Board is pleased to announce that Careforce has been awarded a significant contract by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council for the provision of domiciliary care services.

On 2 July 2007 the acquisition of Simply Care Ltd was completed. Simply Care operates from offices in the centre of Whitby, servicing contracts with North Yorkshire County Council, local PCTs and a high proportion of private clients.

On 16 July 2007, the Group acquired Capable Care Ltd which operates from offices on the outskirts of Bristol.

Veronica Dixon, a Care Supervisor at the Kirklees branch of Careforce, was awarded Home Care Worker of the Year for the North West at the Ceretas National Homecare Awards 2008.
