Slieve Donard Challenge Saturday September 13

Lisburn, Northern Ireland Branch are entering a team of walkers to take up the Slieve Donard Challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Slieve Donard is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland and provides spectacular views of the coast. It’s 850 metres high and takes between three and five hours to climb. The challenge offers a choice of route, the most challenging takes walkers to the summit with an easier option to walk around the mountain. The trek is open to anyone over the age of 14, accompanied by an adult if under 18 and you need to be fit to take part. Zoe Underwood, Stevenage branch has volunteered to go to Brazil in October to work on a project for the Bobby Moore Trust. Zoe has to raise £4000 for the trip so if anyone would like to support her or has ideas for fundraising please contact Zoe: zoe.underwood@careforcegroup.co.uk
