Investing in our workforce
Careforce encourages all employees to undertake training in order to further their career in the organisation, and their future development.
All new care staff undergo an induction and training period with us, whether or not they have previous care experience, and all staff are fully trained free of charge to NVQ2. We employ a team of NVQ assessors who support our branches and care staff with training and development and we actively encourage and support any team members who wish to further their careers through additional learning and training opportunities.
It is our policy to provide our care team members with the skills that enable them to competently and confidently work with a broad range of service users and their different social, cultural, physical and mental needs.
We seek to provide and support our employees with career pathways and to offer training that goes further than basic care standards' requirements. We run a number of courses for carers who work with people with specific needs and we encourage new carers to complete the Careforce Certificate in Care as well as working towards their NVQ in Care.
We currently offer the following courses:
- Dementia Awareness
- Loss and Bereavement
- Medication
- Sensory Impairment
- Multiple Sclerosis Awareness
- Nutrition
- Protection of Vulnerable Adults
- Equality and Diversity
- Continence Awareness
